I love the texture of the foreground mixture of sand and rocks. The hardscape is balanced and the use of ferns is a classic combo. The use of moss is nice, although just a bit sporadic.
The bunches of the java fern in the center of the tank might be a little strong for its position. |

A nice composition of roots and rocks mixed up together which gives a special identity to this tank. The aquascaper wanted to leave free zones in the upper part of the tank and I thank him (her) cause that's right : that gives volume to the whole. Plants look healthy and keep this natural aspect, even if I can see the gardener came around sometimes. Considering the fishes, nothing to say. Some of us could object that an african fish (Ph. interruptus) doesn't live in a middle of a south american population, but as the water chemistry is similar, I don't really care. I would have loved to find natural forms for Pterophyllum scalare. Nice job for the whole composition. |

Un beau complexe de racines et de roches enchevêtrées qui donnent de suite une identité au bac. L'auteur a voulu laisser des zones libres dans la partie supérieure du bac, et nous l'en remercions car il a eu bien raison : cela permet de mieux apprécier les volumes.
Les plantes sont en pleine forme et gardent un aspect naturel, même si l'on sent bien sûr que le "jardinier" est passé par là pour l'entretien.
Concernant les poissons, rien à redire. Certains pourront râler en voyant un poisson africain (Ph. interruptus) au milieu de cette population sud-américaine, mais à partir du moment où la qualité d'eau est la même, cela ne me gêne guère. J'aurais par contre préféré des scalaires proches de la forme sauvage, mais là, c'est vraiment histoire de pinailler.
Bravo pour l'ensemble de la composition.
